Mighty Muscles!

We decided to name our game "Mighty Muscles". It is divided into two categories, upper body muscles and lower body muscles. Doing the paper prototype has helped greatly on designing our game. We both aggreed on every idea that each other came up with.

Hansel & Gretel

  • What role did you get? Why are you good at this job? We both decided that we would both take equal responsibility for this game and will work together on figuring out how to make this game and the problems that associate with it.

  • What do you look forward to most about working in a team? I like working on a team becuase if I would have a question about the topic, I can ask my partner.

  • What do you like least about collaborative work? There's nothing I dislike about collaborative work.

    Wiki Problem

There was an error on the Wiki when I tried to upload a file, so I couldn't do much with that today. I got a simple game plan finished, so I hope to start researching and working on my game soon. Hopefully the Wiki will be fixed tomorrow.

    Pretty Wiki!

I'm working on my Wiki, adding pictures and different fonts with a background. It's taken some time, but I think that I'm finally understanding how to work it.

    Mini Game: DONE!

This mini game was so hard to make. I'm not a very technical person, so it took a little more time to get the feel of Flash and ActionScript. The best part of this game was learning how to use Flash and knowing that I have completed a game by myself with the help of my teacher. The worst part was trying to figure out all the codes and how they all work together. I used to play games in my free time, but I don't anymore. I played on Yahoo! all the time, and my favorite game was Pool.

    Moving Bunny!

I finally got the bunny to move and even got the jist on how to keep score! This has been a very productive day for me! Although my score starts over at 12 instead of going on forever, I'm still happy with my results! I hope tomorrow is  just as good as today :)

    Flash: Day Two

Once again, Flash is still confusing me. Every time I try to test the movie, I have errors. I'm hoping Mrs. McCloud and I can figure this problem out tomorrow!

    First time using Flash

Today we used Flash for the first time and I'm not going to lie, it was very confusing! I somewhat know how to use it but when it comes to the ActionScript, I'm totally lost. Hopefully Monday will be a better day for me.

    Research, Research, & more Research!

I am now starting to research some of the things I will need to know for my game. I am using Wikipedia and Google to search information. I want to do a game on muscles and their functions, so I hope it will work out alright. I'm learning about muscles in Sports Med with Mr. Clendenin so I already know a few minor things about muscles, so it shouldn't be too hard for me to find information.

    Learn The Bones Review

The game I learned the most with was "Learn The Bones". It taught you where different bones are in different parts of your body. This game focused on learning the bones. The setting in this game was mostly grey with a tye-die background in some parts of the game. I think it was a good choice because when I think of bones, I think of a grey color. I think the game looked presentable and nice, and it clearly illustrated the purpose of the game. I think the game was easy to operate. If I could improve anything about this game, it would be to make the colors more appealing.

If I could learn two things about this game it would be: how to make the tye-die background and how to get the bone pieces to match exactly with the skeleton.

    WV Animal Rescue Squad Review

I just played this game and I felt that it was the least educational game out of the ones I played. All of the questions it asked, I already knew the answers to. It focused on the topic of animal care. If other people didn't know a lot about animals, they could play this game but I'm not promising that they would learn anything new. The genre of the game is in a vet office. I think this is a very good choice for this game since it deals with animals. I didn't really like the design of the game, the colors weren't very "catching" to my eye. The game clearly illustrates the purpose for me playing it.  When the game first started, I wasn't sure what to do at first but I noticed that the telephone was moving so I clicked on it and it gave me instructions on what to do next, so I finally figured out what to do. If I could improve the game, I would make the colors more appealing and also make more questions about different animals, not just a dog, cat, and chinchilla.

If I could learn anything from this game/user, it would be on how to position all of the icons on the first page and how to make the telephone look like it was ringing.

    Internet Privacy

We need to protect our privacy on the internet because we could get into trouble with the the teacher and the school. We will face discipline penalities if we are caught posting anything that isn't approved by the school.
